Its Simple and Effective! A no Fuss device!!
PROS:
1. Its small powerhouse.
2. Simple menu with all relevant details, Without the fuss
3. Screen is bright and readable but no stealth mode so may be CON for some
4. One of the few MODs that have Nichrome setting in Temp Control
5. Ugradable though no updates as on yet
CONS
1. To simplistic for few
2. No way to lock resistance in Temp Control mode
3. No puff counter/Battery percentage/Logos/Flappy Bird :D
4. No Auto reading of Resistance
5. Resistance readings are little off
Review:
Well this was one of my first Box MODs and I must say it didn't disappointed me.
Its a nice, compact, no-fuss mod that gets the job done. It can take a tumble or two as I have dropped it once from a fair height yet it got way with few bruises only. Medium height mods, 22" sit flush. Battery consumption is a little on higher side but then look at the shiny bright oh-so-clear screen ;)
Resistance is a area that needs to improve (hope Kanger drops an update) like no temperature locking in TC mode, little off readings of resistance and no auto reading Resistance like Cuboid/RX200s which may put some people off. Temp control works fine otherwise.
Form Factor: Its sturdy and compact. Buttons are clicky with no rattle but battery sledge has some issues as its tough to get batteries out especially the first battery as no much space is there to get a decent grip on battery. Quality of paint job is also not very high and mod is amenable to scratches.
It has NiCr (Nichrome wire) setting in temp control but as not many prebuilt coils have nichrome wire (barring Kanger SSoCC or Atoms gCeramic) so its more for bragging rights but even then when I tried NiCr coil it didn't that well. However, it handles Ti, Ni200 and SS316 as Champ.
Menu is easy as all the functions are just Three-Clicks away but then changing to Temp Control and back to Wattage mode requires going in circles which could have been improved by dedicated button combination like SMOK mods.
All said and done its an awesome mod and beginners won't be disappointed with their buy..
